Fireclay, colored glazes Size: 85 x 55 cm Handmade
This isn't just an allusion to Edvard Munch's "The Scream"—it's its emotional reflection, cast in volume. The scream isn't uttered; it's sculpted and fired. Every fold, every stroke, is like the trace of an internal storm.
The rippling lines of the background evoke Munch's skies: orange-brown, green, bluish-white. Like blood, pain, fear, and cold. Drips, cracks, and bubbles are used—as if the clay itself is screaming along with the figure.
The white hand pressed to the cheek isn't a gesture of despair, but an attempt to hold on, to keep from scattering into chaos.
