Panel on a rotating stand, wall or tabletop Fireclay, colored pigments and glazes Size: 67 cm Handmade
The center of the composition is a white human figure, frozen in motion: arms outstretched, legs bent—as if running, falling, shaking off sleep. The figure seems carved out of light and placed within a crumbling mechanism—a round one, reminiscent of a clock face or mechanism, covered in layers of gray, green, and black glazes, simulating rust, cracks, and gears.
Surrounding it are tiny lights: red and orange dots, like indicators, bulbs, flickering in the darkness. They hint at a sleepless night, when the brain is working at its limit, and time drags on like rusty gears.
A unique feature of the work is its ability to rotate. By turning the panel, the viewer becomes a participant in the process: the figure changes position, as if trying to find peace, but cannot – it is always in motion, like a thought that does not allow one to fall asleep.
