Fireclay, colored glazes Size: 55*55*53 cm Handmade
The name "Baghdad" alludes to a fairytale city where every palace is mysterious, every street a labyrinth, and every form a combination of chaos and harmony. Here, we play with opposites again. A cube and a hemisphere. Their fusion is no accident. It's a new form born from a collision: an orange cube with arched niches and a yellow hemisphere, seemingly emerging from it, in dialogue.
The color palette is warm, like the desert sands and the sunset over Baghdad: terracotta, gold, copper, and a blue accent at the top, like the sky above the minaret.
The object can be used as: a vase, to let flowers bloom from the heart of the city; a pot for a plant growing through the walls; a candlestick, to let light play on the arches and domes; aroma vessel, because Baghdad smells of spices.
