This ceramic panel – bright, rich, almost theatrical – is like a fragment of life, frozen in color and form. It's not just a portrait, but an entire story told through faces, gestures, and symbols.
At the center of the composition is the figure of a woman with closed eyes, lost in memory. Her face is calm, yet filled with inner strength. Surrounding her are other images: a girl with a serious gaze, a woman with red lips, a child. Each figure is a part of her world, her destiny, and herself. "Vera's Life" is a memory of herself. The carved fragments of detail seem like separate pieces of life, pieced together.
The color palette is bold and contrasting: deep blue, fiery orange, green, pink, and white—reminiscent of the paintings of Matisse or early Picasso. The relief of the form gives the work volume and tactility: it seems you can touch the hair, clothing, jewelry, and every emotion frozen in the ceramic.
